How to update violation books
Violation books, sometimes referred to as statutes, ordinances, or bond schedules, define the charges and fines available when issuing citations.
- Click Settings and select the Citations tab.
- Select the violation book you want to update.
- Click Add violation to add a new row, or select an existing violation to edit it.
- Update the statute number, name, code, fine amount, and other fields as needed.
- Click Save.
Each violation includes additional controls that affect what officers see. Clicking the star icon marks a violation as a favorite, making it easier for officers to find when issuing citations. Clicking the eye icon hides the violation from officer view without removing it from the violation book.
Violations can also be downloaded in CSV format for bulk editing. After making changes in a spreadsheet, upload the CSV to apply your updates back to the violation book.
